ABOUT JB
Jason Bulger
Founder & CEO
The Startup Advisory was founded by Jason Bulger in 2023. Known to his friends and colleagues simply as JB, I’ve been fortunate in my career to be exposed to all aspects of business including my first field sales roles and making 200-300 calls a week, to starting my own business, to leading a self-funded family business from startup to acquisition, and now working with some of Australia’s high impact and growing startups. These experiences have allowed me to help others grow and hopefully not make similar mistakes as I did on their path to success.
As an experienced revenue leader & marketer, JB brings 25+ years of learning (success and failure) to commercial success in entrepreneurial environments. JB has re-started his career multiple times with industry experience across the sports, media, gambling, events, travel, hospitality, online learning and construction industries in Australia / New Zealand, APAC, EMEA and North American markets.
Primarily working with B2B SaaS tech startups since 2010, JB has taken on leadership roles in large enterprise as well as emerging growth companies & SME’s leading teams in sales, partnerships, marketing, data monetisation, and insights and analytics.
Before dedicating his time to the firm, JB was the Head of Sales of five different early-stage startups where he lead the global sales, marketing and customer success functions. JB has helped lead companies through different growth stages, including $0-1M, $1M-10M, and $20M-$100M.
